Dr Karl Gadd

Dr Gadd is a medical practitioner with fifteen years of clinical experience. He completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland (2006). Since then, he has practiced in various general practice and hospital settings, including working as a specialist anaesthetist providing care to adults and children at the LGH for 5 years (2016-21). Nowadays, he has a particular interest in holistic approaches to chronic health issues, in adults and children.

He has become a member of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine where he recently (2022-23) undertook further training, and is considering to pursue fellowship there in time. He has also undertaken training with the Australasian Institute of Medical Nutrition (2023). He has participated in the Royal Australian College of General Practice’s continuing professional development program (since 2022).

Dr Gadd is available to assist patients at Gore Street Medical especially while some other doctors are away over the winter months.  
Consultations with Dr Gadd are not bulk billed or private health fund rebated, but many blood tests and imaging studies are covered by Medicare. Please be aware of his fee schedule (see below).

Dr Gadd also works in Northern Tasmania.  His rooms are at Tamar Chiropractic, both in Launceston and Devonport.

Up to 30 minutes                                    $150

30 to 60 minutes                                    $300

60 to 90 minutes                                    $400 


Please be aware that Medicare rebates are not available for consultations.

Telehealth

Telehealth consultations are via phone or video chat. They are a great option if you cannot visit the practice.

Scripts and Pathology

If a script and/or pathology request is required you must book a short consultation with your GP. Our practitioners can issue eScripts and pathology requests directly to your mobile phone.
